LTRA was the prime provider for Section 2 of the Trinity Parkway project, a new location, six-lane divided tollroad facility proposed within the Trinity River floodway in Dallas. The project elements included a diamond interchange at Sylvan Avenue, direct connectors to Woodall Rodgers and Continental Avenue, outfall drainage structures at Baker Pump Station and Turtle Creek Outfall, connection of ITS backbone infrastructure from North Dallas Tollway, overhead sign structures, toll gantries, retaining walls, illumination and three million cubic yards of embankment. The estimated construction cost for Section 2 is $240 Million. This project was extremely fast track. Notice to proceed was received on December 23, 2008 and Section 408 submittal was submitted to USACE in May 2009.
