Title: Graduate Engineer- Civil Engineering
Duties:
Perform civil design functions, including design calculations, reading and interpreting surveys, researching design options, creating project reports, CADD review and drafting. Assist with the preparation of roadway construction documentation including plans, maps, drawings, reports, data spreadsheets, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, schedules, supporting documents and permit applications to help with the schematic and PS&E design. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies to develop drainage plan. Support mid and senior level engineers to complete planning, research preliminary design, performing detailed design modeling tasks. Perform construction site visits and attend weekly meetings with engineers, inspectors and contractors to discuss and monitor progress of roadway construction projects.

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with course works in graphics for civil engineering and construction, project control and lifecycle execution of constructed facilities, hydraulics lab, and roadway and pavement design.

Title: Graduate Engineer- Structural
Duties:
Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structures, applying principles of transportation engineering; design substructures, superstructures, girders, foundations, piers, and abutments; prepare structural design and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimates; compute materials factors including structural concrete and structural steel designs to determine specifications; review structural calculations and contract documents prepared by others; learn and adhere to industry standards and regulations related to bridge construction and safety from TxDOT, AASHTO, ASCE, ACI and AISC.

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with coursework in transportation engineering, materials engineering for civil engineering, structural concrete design, structural steel design, and analysis and design of structures. 3 months experience in the job offered or as a Design Intern.
