Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Services
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is defined by ASCE 38-02 as a branch of engineering practice that involves managing certain risks associated with utility mapping at appropriate quality levels, utility coordination, utility relocation design and coordination, utility condition assessment, communication of utility data to concerned parties, utility relocation cost estimates, implementation of utility accommodation policies and utility design.
LTRA is fully-equipped with the latest SUE equipment for designating and locating utilities including three of VACMASTERS’ most advanced System 4000 vacuum excavation trucks, state-or-the-art MALA Ground Penetrating Radar, and an array of geophysical prospecting equipment. LTRA offers utility designating and locating services on public and private property. LTRA has the capability to locate utilities with minimal ground disturbance and avoid costly utility hits. We can mark and provide test holes on the utilities, along with an electronic field sketch of our findings, test hole data sheets, utility conflict analysis and signed and sealed deliverables.
Having our SUE and Survey teams work together under one roof ensures accurate deliverables while maximizing efficiency. Coordination between the two departments is seamless.
