Lina T. Ramey & Associates, Inc. (LTRA) donated used survey equipment to Riverside High School in El Paso, Texas to support their Architecture Design and SkillsUSA students. The equipment donated was in good working order and will allow students to perform survey tasks including angle measurement and transferring/establishing elevations through differential leveling. Salvador Torres, Architectural/Engineering Design Instructor at the Ysleta Independent School District – Riverside High School said, “I really can’t express my deepest appreciation for your generosity for this equipment. It will be put to good use.”
LTRA has a strong history of supporting high school surveying and engineering programs in the Dallas area, and has staff that have been active in supporting SkillsUSA survey programs at the local and state levels, through the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS). The equipment donation made by LTRA was also recognized at the TSPS Board of Directors meeting held January 30 in Round Rock, Texas.
