Yingjie Cui has joined LTRA as a Graduate Engineer in our Farmers Branch office’s Engineering Department. Yingjie recently graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She plans on taking the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in October.

Yingjie was born in China and went to study English at Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 2011, during her time in Christchurch, she experienced a magnitude 6.3 (ML) earthquake that severely damaged New Zealand’s second-largest city, killing 185 people.

Due to the inspiration of the transportation systems in New Zealand and China, she decided to explore a career in transportation. In Yingjie’s spare time she enjoys going to the movies and the gym.
